Recently I feel like I’ve not been doing enough photography just for myself, or even just going around and taking photos just to keep myself familiar with the process. As well as that there’s still so much of London I need to explore; so Leo and I went out with our cameras to take some snaps along the Thames.
Weirdly enough I’ve never been down towards Tower Bridge properly, I’ve seen it from above at the Sky Garden and figured it was about time I saw it up close. We got off the tube at London Bridge and walked from there via the Hays Galleria, another gorgeous bit of London that I can’t believe I’ve never set foot in! We went at late afternoon so it wasn’t too busy but the light was still gorgeous.
This is such a great part of the river to walk by, you’ve got HMS Belfast in front of you and behind that a view of the ‘Walkie Talkie’ building, i.e, 20 Fenchurch Street plus the Gherkin! As you walk further along towards City Hall there’s a lovely spot to sit and relax by water fountains coming from the ground, with a view of Tower Bridge in front of you and a spot of the Shard if you look behind you!
We carried on past Tower Bridge towards Butler’s Wharf to get some photos from the other side, and Leo found a sneaky spot where steps basically lead into the Thames so I got some photos there too.
I’d love to walk on top of Tower Bridge one day and look down through their glass floor, I’m sure we’ll find time to do it some day!
Hope you’ve enjoyed this post, do let me know if you’ve walked on top of Tower Bridge!
