Officially half way through the year now! I can’t believe I’ve actually managed to keep up with a photo a week (sort of anyway…) and as well as that, it’s been my birthday week.
I’ve had a really lovely week. I worked a couple days of it, then celebrated my birthday on Thursday with two of my best friends and one of my favourite musicals. Following that I spent Friday with more of my best friends being absolute children at a trampoline centre and a night of drinking and dancing as well as seeing some family in between all of that. I’m really lucky to have such fantastic friends who are always there for me, and I think this week more than ever I’ve really appreciated that fact.
Seeing as we’re halfway through 2015 and I’m now another year older I can’t help but feel nostalgic and a little sad at times just because I miss my mum and that she’s missing all these moments. It’s a hard thought to shake, but I’m quite content with the decisions I’m making and what I’m making of my life, I suppose all I hope is that she would be content with them too.
Here’s to the rest of the year, to more exciting adventures and more making memories. To happiness, hope, love and positivity. To letting go of those that anger and wear us down, and instead focusing on holding on to those who boost us up and always willingly lend a hand. Those are the one’s worth having around.
“This is no encore, we have only just begun.”
